Steel is formed when a little bit of carbon is added to iron.

Steel is mainly an alloy of iron and other elements, primarily carbon.
Carbon contributes by 2.1% in the mass of typical steel.

Steel has a low cost and is highly tensile, that's why it is used in  numerous fields and applications including the infrastructure, vehicles, buildings and weapons.
