The famous cattle drive was because we had a lot of longhorns and the rest of the country wanted beef. The Chisholm Trail is where cattle were driven up north for the first time in 1866. The Goodnight-Loving Trail was a way to bring cattles to New Mexico or Colorado and to start a journey to the west.
