Kate is 16, Andy is 32.

Andy is 36 and Kate is 18 

My work:

60-6=54
Andy's age 18+18=36
Andy's age is double the amount of Kate's age so we have to half his.
Kate's age 36/2=18
Then we add 36 and 18 together to make 54
