The desire to acquire money falls on the secondary drive. It is linked to how society sees us that builds our identity. Wealth and fame are the best examples. It is also somehow related to primary drives which are the innate biological needs or those we need for survival. Secondary drives indirectly satisfies our primary drives because of how good we feel about ourselves and how we get things out of this.
