Let x= second number
x-1= first number
2x= 4(x-1) + 26
2x= 4x -4 + 26
2x -4x= 22
-2x= 22
(-1)(-2x)=22(-1)
2x= -22
x=-11 (second number)
-11-1= -12 (first number)
