What did the Federalists want the Constitution to provide?

The Federalists wanted the Constitution to provide for a much "stronger" federal government, that would have more power over the states in that it would be able to tax the states, have a supreme court, an executive branch, etc. It was the Anti-Federalists who feared that this government would have too much power.
