Before the reaction, the ionic forms of sodium and chlorine have charges of +1 and -1, respectively. The bond that is formed between them is an ionic bond which means that they have to share electron in order to satisfy the octet rule. 

As stated above, after the reaction, the octet rule is satisfied by the two participating elements and that the charge of each of them should be equal to 0. 

Hence, the answer to this item is zero.
