To get the answer. you have to find the unit rate.
To find the unit rate, divide 2.50 by 5 which is 0.5 or 50 cents.
(You can check to see if you did this right by multiplying, so .5x5=2.5)
Then you multiply .5 by 7 which is 3.5, or $3.50.

$2.50 divided by 5= 0.5
0.5x7= 3.5
Your answer is $3.50 per cake but since you need 7 you do, $3.50x7= 24.5
So the final answer is $24.50
