An important result of the industrial revolution in the 19th century Western Europe was that people were able to get a job more easily due to increasing demands for production of goods. Furthermore, on a societal scale, Western Europe was able to modernize itself and establish colonies in other parts of the world due to the increased output that greatly increased what they could do.
