The correct answer is somatosensory afferent nerve fibres.  
Merkel disk receptor consists of Merkel cell with associated nerve endings. Merkel nerve endings are mechanoreceptors ( sensory receptor), which provide information on mechanical pressure, position, and deep touch. It is found in the hair follicles and basal epidermis.
