Number of 1/2-inch cubes length-wise = 8 1/2 ÷ 1/2 = 17
Number of 1/2-inch cubes width-wise = 5 1/2 ÷ 1/2 = 11
Number of 1/2-inch cubes height-wise = 2 1/2 ÷ 1/2 = 5

Number of 1/2-inch cubes = 17 x 11 x 5 = 935
