Usually glucose, could be fat acids as well.

Good Afternoon,

           Plants and Animal Cells both contain Mitochondria which make Cellular Respiration, however you question is what is broken down? In Cellular Respiration, Glucose, or sugars are broken down into vital elements such as Oxygen and Carbon. I really do hope i have helped you, Good luck!
